Kazakhstan may not sound like an everyday choice for holiday, even in the context of trekking but it is about to change. Trekking in Kazakhstan is an awe-inspiring adventure where the night is spent in tents and the path is lit with stars. Immerse yourself in the endless mountainside with a small group of friends, and with experienced trek leaders.
Like most other journey this one starts from a city too. Almaty, in this case. Here you have the unique chance to learn about the history of Kazakhstan both in the local museum and on the open streets. The night will be spent in bed with dinner. This is the time to tune onto the trek.
The trek to Burhan Bulak Gorge starts. The Burhan Bulak waterfall is the highest in Central Asia, located at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. The trekking proceeds until the upper course of the stream at the Karatau ridge. From here, descend to the lake in the Trilsai gorge - the place of our camp, and fireplace. We stay close to the lakes overnight.
Next day get ready for the trek to the Karatau ridge, pass at the Tentekbulak gorge, and from there descend to the Kora gorge. After lunch, we return to the civilization. Rest and prepare for the departure for Almaty. Overnight in eco-camping Taubulak.
