Ryfylke, a large coastal region to the north-east of Stavanger, covers an area of 4,500 square-kilometers. The region is geographically diverse, boasting an archipelago of islands, deep fjords, low-lying valleys, and steep mountainsides. Ryfylke’s islands, which vary substantially size, are characterized by small farms, pastoral valleys, and rugged coastlines.

Moderate difficulty. Suitable for adults (16 yrs.+) who are in general good condition have previous biking experience.
This is a demanding 9-hour bike ride that is split into two sections of 20-25 kilometers (45 kilometers total). Participants cycle asphalt-paved ‘shared-use’ roads (cars/tractors), which range from gradual slopes to steep hills. Day to day, weather varies between clear blue skies and heavy rainfall. It is therefore important that participants be in good physical condition and have previous cycling experience.
